Hello, everyone. I just happened upon this tribe, and y'all seem like nice people!
I have been a college medieval studies major for a while now (taking a leave from school for a bit at the moment) and Arthurian lit has been a passion of mine since childhood. Looking forward to discussing...

anyone see the new King Arthur movie??? any thoughts....

I didn't care for it *at all*....outside of the usual story to movie issues, it just was not a well put together movie.....I would be most interested in hearing what others think....

I was just wondering if there is anyone else out there who finds that her stories of Avalon just have the most "right" feeling to them? I have been interested in Avalon for many years along with all other aspects of worship for the Goddess. Would like to hear any/all opinions.

Hail to Autumn

Shall we celebrate the abundance of mother earth with bonfires and merriment? Tis my favorite time of year (Beltane being a close second). Time to reap the benefits of a year's hard work and cast aside and burn the chafe of all the things we no longer need. Casting off old habits and addictions and shoring up our humble abodes for the thrashing winds and snow of winter. Time to make snuggly warm hats and comforters and sweaters and socks whether by spinning or weaving or knitting. Winter has her own beauty and power.
Merry Samhain all.

Hail and well met. Do we have bards amongst us? What are your instruments of choice? I do not own any truly period instruments at this time, other than my ney, that a friend made me from a river reed. Generally, neys are middle eastern flutes. It would be nice to have a lute or some other period stringed instruments, but if wishes were horses then beggars would ride.
